It was pizza night with my fam last night. The four of us haven’t got together too much recently so it was extra nice. We watched The Wind Rises too.

This morning I am regretting how much pizza I ate.

I’m looking forward to the temperature dropping again tomorrow. I hope it actually does. These temperature spikes are really difficult to deal with, my body does not acclimatise very quickly. So I’ve been feeling quite poorly with the heat. I know it’s only 24/25°, but that’s a lot for me.

I think it’s a little bit of an unsolvable riddle. But how to make photos look the same across different sites.

I’ve always been a bit confused by colour profiles but I’m trying my best to keep things standardised through my workflow. And occasionally an app (or my phone) will just decide to change the profile.

So frustrating! I think I just have to decide not to care if things look a bit shit sometimes.

I am mainly creating for my own joy and satisfaction.

Watching people debating online about whether it’s ok for me to exist is exhausting, whether I take part in it or not. (I don’t anymore.)

The abundance of opinions and news stories is basically triggering af. Can you imagine?

Although I appreciate the positive sentiments and community support. Somehow, it doesn’t ease my mind.

Weirdly, it actually feels isolating.

Going outside is hard enough some days. But it’s easier than scrolling.

It’s fair to say the new Daredevil show begins with a massive gut punch. 📺

I’m looking forward to watching the rest of the season and thinking I’d love to see some of the other ones get revived too. Especially Jessica Jones.

I’ve been a bit disordered the last few days. But I’ve been looking after myself and I’m doing ok. Being kind to myself is the hardest thing but I’m getting better and better at it. Today, I went up to the village and treated myself to lunch and took a stroll round the park. Very nice.

I had a really intense dream last night about seeing a triple rainbow just before sunset. It was super vibrant and other-worldly. I was trying to get a picture of it but the sun set before I could get my camera out and it was gone. There was no twilight. Just instant nighttime.

Still having some significant mental health difficulties: depression and unstable mood, some confusion. It’s been a wild rollercoaster and I’m pretty wiped out. This is pretty much a usual part of my life. I’m looking forward to the next good patch and keeping up with the self care as best I can.

Tonight I went down the YouTube rabbit hole of Christians and trans acceptance. I was encouraged and disappointed in about a 1:10 ratio. (I had a bad experience in a local church a few years ago and I’m thinking of going again sometime maybe.)

Last year I seemed to have a lot of moths floating around my home. So I’m deploying moth traps and cedarwood oil around the place. I don’t think I have a problem but I definitely want to prevent one.

Colour profiles and HDR have always confused me. I get endlessly frustrated with processing photos on one device for them to look weird on another, or in a different app, or website. I never really know what are the best choices to make https://www.lux.camera/what-is-hdr/ #photography

I had a pretty intense dream about my estranged brother last night- I was supporting him with something. It’s been about 10 years since he very publicly rejected me. I went through a lot of grief back then. Though I don’t really think about him that often, it does still hurt, and I miss him.

I’m happy to report Ewok Hunt 🎮 is still a thing in Battlefront II. Had a blast with my son tonight. It was hilarious and scary. At one point I got killed and he stayed alive as a stormtrooper. Then I revived as an Ewok. And he killed me twice even though we were on the same team together!

I’m gradually following a bunch of micro.blog folks with my mastodon account. I think I’m making mastodon my new social home with Bluesky as well. But with micro.blog mostly going redundant, although I probably won’t cancel it completely.

I saw a goldfinch in the garden this morning. I couldn’t believe how pretty it was. I looked it up thinking it must be some exotic bird. But it’s quite usual. I must have seen them before but this one was the prettiest in all the lands.

Yesterday was a busy day of getting some exercise and village hopping. Walking around the suburbs is like walking across a desert from oasis to oasis. But not at all romantic as that sounds. The roads are brutal to walk in the sunshine. But it felt good to be on my feet.

I walked over 12k steps yesterday. I was on a mission!

I went to my support centre for the first time in a few months. I’m glad I made it there again. And then I went to see my fam.

It was a very busy day that felt really good. Today I feel pretty wiped out so will be a quiet one.

Wow! The Ricoh GR IV has been announced. I will miss the GR series but I needed to move on to a camera with a viewfinder. Otherwise I would definitely get one.

I gifted my beloved GR II to my son recently. It’s such a great camera. I do still miss it a lot. #photography
