🎮 I’m totally stuck on Sea of Stars. I haven’t played in a few weeks and I can’t remember which way I’m supposed to go. I can’t figure it out. I don’t want to but I think I need to check a walk-through.

🛌 Last night I dreamed I was a hobbit travelling with Gandalf through an inhabited labyrinth cave system. We got out of the cave and I was thinking in the dream about how faithful to the source material the dream reality was. It actually wasn't faithful to Tolkien at all. Very strange. But it was a very beautiful world and kind of hyper-real and almost lucid.

🫖 I'm happy with my new kettle. It's fast and quiet. Cups of tea are quick to make! My last one was old and getting a little unsafe even before I dropped it (creating a boiling water fountain I mostly avoided).

📺 Mythic Quest was pretty good. I'm sad it was cancelled. Seems like the streamers always manage to cancel the wrong shows. Would be a good idea to check in with me first 🙂↕️

📺 To fill my Detectorists void, I watched 90 mins of behind the scenes on YouTube. And it was equally wholesome 💜. I found out it was filmed in Orford (mainly Framlingham), which I know a little and have been in that pub a few times, years ago now. It's a really beautiful part of the world.

🧶 Oh no! I seem to have felted my wool jumper in the washing machine 🥺. It now looks like a child's jumper. I'm wondering if I can stretch it back out once it's dry. Probably not I guess. Gosh dang it.

🎮 I played the free demo of Cairn. I got through it in about 2 hours. It's really good! I felt real moments of anxiety when her arms and legs started shaking. The feeling of an impending fall was very anxiety inducing. 🧗♀️

🔥 The heat was too much yesterday. I went out for a stroll and I felt like I got smashed by a hot hammer. It was only 24°C but it felt so much higher than that. Yuck. I'm glad it's grey and windy today.

❤️🩹 I just found out my support center lost their contract and will be closing very soon. It's being replaced by some new org. But they don't know anything about what's happening, or if staff will be keeping their jobs or not after the transition. It's a shock.

❤️🩹 In other bad news. We had to cancel our family holiday today. Problems with a bank not releasing money. Hopefully travel insurance will cover costs as it's not our fault. We haven't done this since 2019 so I'm gutted about it not happening. It was a dream holiday tbh.

🥵 I'm so glad the heat broke. It was breaking me. Still, it's very very warm in my flat this morning. It heats up slowly but also cools down slowly. And we didn't get the promised thunder storm last night. I was actually really looking forward to that.

So I’m reading about how there may be some weirdness with how Micro.blog and Mastodon communicate. I don’t understand it. But I follow quite a few Mb folks and apparently they won’t always be able to see my replies, nor I see theirs. A real shame. The best thing about Mb is the people there.

😊 Have just returned home from a short break away with family. Not the holiday we planned but it was super nice to get away and spend some quality time with my eldest. We've walked miles and miles and taken many photos.
