Ok. So I’m not sure what I’m doing with Mastodon. But I’m thinking of moving my publishing efforts to new platforms. I’m really only testing things out for a little while to see what’s what.

I am going to try and connect to Micro.blog and Bluesky, and for a little while use Mastodon as my source micro blogging platform. And those as destinations.
- I’m probably going to trial Bear Blog too.
- I’m just going to be experimenting a bit and find out what suits me. Or perhaps just go back to Micro.blog.
  - Next step is to find some people that I’m already following elsewhere.

I just had a very nice wander in the park (no photos) and grabbed some supplies in the village. Now I’m relaxing with a nice mug of hot cacao before I get into Lightroom for a couple of hours.

Oof. I think I pushed my brain a little bit hard last night. Doing technical things on my computer tends to leave me feeling wiped out and empty. I love tech but it’s exhausting.

The grass is being cut today outside my flat. It smells wonderful. I admit to enjoying the smell of the petrol-powered mowers too (or diesel, or whatever it is)

A couple days ago I explained my situation to a stranger and asked for something it seemed they might be open to.

They were incredibly kind and offered more than I expected.

I’m very grateful. And reminding myself to stop struggling alone. Sometimes I need to ask for help. And that’s alright.

I’m excited that we have booked our family summer holiday accommodation. The last time I went way was 2019. So I’m feeling quite nervous about travelling and being away from home. But it’s a place I know well and it’s very beautiful.

As I’m getting back into social media a bit more again (but differently) I’m trying to remind myself-

I’m just expressing myself. I’m not looking for validation or acceptance. I’m only looking for genuine community. I’m being me and no-one else. I’m allowed to take up space on the internet.

I’ve been asking for 10 years and at this point I doubt I will ever be diagnosed despite my psychiatrist actually recommending I seek a diagnosis and referring me. (They later backpedaled and I have other ND diagnoses anyway).

I really wish I still had the same support I used to have. Today is one of those days where my disablements are too much for me to overcome. I would love some help or company.

I would order food in but there are massive traffic problems in my village and any delivery would be very delayed.

I was learning all about desync yesterday in Fortnite. It was an absolute mess. Worse than ever. I’m not a good player but what was happening in these matches was crazy depressing. I kinda want to play now but I don’t know if I can handle the humiliation 😳🥵🤣😇🎮

My cacao today is infused with juniper berry, pink peppercorn, and orange. It is very tasty – earthy with a little fruity spiciness, and a touch of sweetness. Yum 😋

Today is my half a month-anniversary on Mastodon. I joined as an experiment. But I am staying. I am still figuring things out but after a couple of weeks I’m enjoying the experience despite some things not making any sense to me.

Why are UK ruling on the definition of women and not men? I get that this was a case brought by a certain group. But I dunno. I just don’t get this laser focus on trans women and not so much on trans men (or NB/other). It’s so weird and creepy.

I just completed a 36 hour fast. It’s been a couple of years since I last fasted properly and it was really tough going. I really wanted to give up last night but I really needed to do it and I found the strength to carry on. I’ve been feeling so physically run down recently. It feels good to have a little reset.

I had an epic healthy, tasty breakfast of salmon, sauerkraut (+raw garlic +raw turmeric), and other fresh goodies to get going again. I feel about 10% better for it.

I remember the joy of listening to an album, or a mixtape. Just chilling out with some awesome music. Nothing else. No phone, no multitasking. Not actually doing anything else. Only listening. Just me and my music. Bliss.

I’d say that’s what I’m currently doing, except I had the urge to pick up my phone and share this very insightful observation with the internet.

Sitting outside with my coffee in the fresh air in the morning is my new thing. I’m loving it. I’m trying to make it a habit.

I have birds to listen too. Flowers, trees and raised beds my neighbour tends, to look at. I’m under cover in case it rains.

We have a little heat wave here in UK. Yesterday I went out for a walk and after about half an hour it really started getting too much. I made it home in one piece but it took a lot out of me.

I’ve had a busy day of photo editing. I’ve processed and published 2.5 projects. This is a personal best. Where’s my medal?

It feels good to treat my creativity as a labour of love rather than dump my work on my computer and forget about it.
